The Dark Amanita Flogger is a wicked adventure into fractured fairytale goodness. Crafted with repurposed timber of unknown species, the original piece featured some stunning voids in the wood that were filled with a stark, black wood putty, left to cure and then sanded back to a wonderfully smooth surface. The entire piece was then sealed with a honey-brown tinted varnish over the course of several days for a stunning satin finish. The blood-red resin details were added as a final step, along with the sealed diamantes, to create a jammy finish on the sap drops that catches the light and absolutely blooms.
 
The tails are made of rich, red surgical rubber tubing that have a wonderful bounce to them. They make a satisfying whoosh noise when swinging, and hit with a really nice mix of thuddy weight and sting, depending on whether you hit with the very tips of the tails, or the main mass. The tails can be cut on an angle to heighten the sting, either three or four for a bit of spice, or the whole lot!
 
This item is a hand-crafted design. As a hand made item, there are minor imperfections, scuffs and bumps, as pictured.
