These Silky Oak paddles are around 34cm long,  and roughly 123 grams of "Yes, daddy". They're made from timber reclaimed from old furniture destined for landfill. Due to working in reclaimed and sustainable materials, I'm able to make limited runs of something very special like this once in a blue moon. These pounders may look plain in pictures, but the photographs really don't do the gorgeous chatoyance through the Silky Oak justice. The wood is light and a rich, warm honey shade on one side, and a darker brown burned honey on the other, due to the way the timber naturally aged with use when it was part of the furniture piece.
 
To maximise it's beauty, these pounders have been given a fine sand without removing all the characteristics of the grain, and then finished in a satin lacquer. 
 
This item is a hand-crafted design. As a hand made item, there are minor imperfections, scuffs and bumps, as pictured.
